Action Items Missing In Investing Accounts
I noticed today that when trying to enter an investment transaction, action items are not appearing in the right hand side of the transaction: Enter, More Actions, And Split. This is true on all my investment accounts. Regular banking, credit cards, etc are fine. Did I change something in error? I haven't gone anywhere in Quicken to do that. Please advise. Thank you in adavance for your expertise.

Is your Quicken window wide enough to show these buttons?
As far as I can determine, these three buttons are positioned to the right of the rightmost column in your investment register. If the window isn't wide enough, there may be a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the register portion of the window and you will have to scroll right to see them.Enabling the "Show Attach button" in Preferences does nothing but add (or remove) a fourth button, "Attach", to the three action buttons, requiring even more space for the investment register view beyond the rightmost column.

Sure would be nice if the programmers could give this part of the program a moment of their attention and ensure correct positioning of these 4 buttons within the Quicken window, regardless of actual window width, and not off to the right somewhere.

Investment accounts don't have "action buttons". It doesn't even make sense to have a "split" action (as in a banking split transaction) for an investment transaction.

I'm telling you there were "action buttons" up until today After entering transaction details, I would hit the "green" enter button. What do i do now as that is not available.

Maybe you are referring to these? (which don't have split or "More Actions"):
These show up when you select a transaction to edit. There is an option in the Investment preferences to turn on an Attachment buttons, but that is about it.

I don't see any setting for turning it off, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't see those buttons. All I see is for showing the attachment button:

Try restarting Quicken and see if that helps.

Chris, Unfortunately that didn't work I restarted Quicken too. Then, I changed to remove attach buttons and again restarted Quicken, changed back show attach buttons. Still no luck. This sounds like a Quicken change to me, not us.

I'm not sure what changed for you, sounds like some kind of bug. Mine is like I showed in the screenshot.

OMG, UKR….that was it, the window wasn't wide enough. I don't remember changing it, but I must have. I feel so stupid. Thank you so much. Thanks to Chris_QPW also for working on this. If either of you are in the Chicago area, hit me up as I owe you a beer or four. Again thanks

I have gone ahead and submitted a bug report for this to our Development and Product teams for further investigation and resolution.
