PayPal Credit (Synchrony PayPal Mastercard) CC-501 error
It's happening again, with the error message blaming it on a Quicken server error. When will PayPal, Synchrony and Quicken (either on its own or via Intuit) learn to play together nicely?

Typically these errors self-resolve within 24 hours. If you haven't already, we recommend reviewing this support article for more information.
As stated in the article, if the error persists for more than 24 hours, then you will need to contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance. Our support agents will need to collect and review your log files, and will likely need to file an escalation if they see fit.
Customer Support Team phone hours of operation are 5 am - 5 pm PDT Monday-Friday.

Agree with previous comment. PayPal is NOT working. Error says Sorry. We encountered an error. It's not your fault. Options are to try again now or to enter manually. try again now is not working.

I have the same problem but I can export the transactions from the PayPal website just not automatically

I have contacted support on this and spent about an hour going through troubleshooting that led nowhere. Supposedly raised to next level support, but never received a ticket number and have heard nothing since about a resolution. The connection to Paypal Credit frequently breaks down and takes days to fix it. This is the worst it's ever been.

I do want to provide some info and insight so the moderators might be better informed and the users would not be so frustrated. There is an ongoing issue with this and its being worked on. I have been in regular communication with a technical representative in the office of the president at quicken. They have been been contacting me at intervals to give updates. I have been dealing with this issue of not being able to connect to my paypal account for over a year. at one point they thought it had been resolved but i had reported that it had not. They need to hear this from as many as are experiencing it as possible so they know its widespread. I know that none of this is solving the problem but I did want to let you know that its known about at the highest level at quicken, and your not likely going to get much from support as its not a client side issue. But it is important that you report it nonetheless so it gets the greatest resources put to work on it.

I have had this issue ever since Synchrony took over PayPal Credit. I was told by Quicken that Synchrony needs to update the url as the are on the contract for PayPal Credit since it is now https://paypalcredit.syf.com/ and no longer https://paypal.com PayPal cash. I contacted Synchrony and they told me they don't control the URL. They have no idea what is going on. I have wasted so much time trying to figure out how to get my transactions auto downloaded and although I can download from the site it only per statement period and sometimes the files are corrupted and cannot be imported. QUICKEN please fix this with your partner.

For those of you still experiencing this issue, could you please tell us the exact error you are receiving? And what steps are you taking before you receive the error?
Also, please provide a screenshot of the error(s) you are seeing.

However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation. It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.
While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.

I don't think PayPal has worked for me for at least a year. So I tried to remove it and re-add it, same error as others mention

Same issue for a very long time… year plus I think as some have stated. Same errors as posted exactly.

At least for me, Paypal Credit was linked to the bank listed as PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto in the bank pull down list when trying to download transactions. This worked for a long time, but apparently PayPal has changed PayPal Credit to Link with Synchrony Bank. The connection is now broken.
I've spoken to Quicken tech support and they state that its a PayPal/Synchrony Problem. I've spoken to PayPal and they state that it's a Quicken/Synchrony problem… So I spoke to Synchrony and guess what they said… It's a PayPal/Quicken problem…… Duhhhhhh… Catch 22?
Synchrony did mention one important fact. Synchrony does not have WEB access for users for PayPal accounts. The only visibility I have to my PayPal Credit account is through the PayPal web site which links to Synchrony credit.
I do not know of any way to download/Reconcile PayPal Credit transactions other than manually by looking on the PayPal web site.
Hopefully someone will fix this problem.
