How can Lifehub be set up to give access to someone but only after one's death?

I have been looking for a product where I could store essential documents, account lists, key passwords, etc. to be available to a designated person (e.g., executor) but only after my death.

One way to do this would be to designate access to someone but only upon presentation of a death certificate or letter of testamentary. There are some flaws with this approach, though, as documents could be faked and evaluating requests would be a real burden and potential liability.

Another way to do it, which I believe is something Google does, is that you can grant conditional access to a trusted someone. That person can request access at any time without me having to do anything, BUT .. I can set a time period (such as 3 days) and multiple alert methods to inform me of the request. If I want to block it, I can. If I do nothing, access is granted.

Is there something in Lifehub that provides that sort of functionality?

    Hello @LexLuther,

The short answer to your question is that functionality isn't currently available. If this is functionality you'd like to see added to Quicken LifeHub in the future, I recommend creating an Idea post requesting it. For more information about creating an Idea post, please click view the post linked below.

For more details on what is currently available when granting others access to your Quicken LifeHub Household, please see below.

Currently, you can invite people to your Quicken LifeHub under one of 3 different roles -

    • Co-Owner - The Co-owner can do everything Owners can do, except manage the Household subscription. There can be only one Co-owner.
    • Editor - Editors can view and modify items in all Groups and Folders. They cannot invite or manage the permissions of other members.
    • Viewer - Viewers can only view the specific Groups and Folders you assign to them, and they can not edit or modify any of your information. They cannot invite or manage the permissions of other members.

For more details, please see this article on inviting members to your Quicken LifeHub Household:

There is a process for allowing the Co-Owner to take ownership of the Quicken LifeHub account upon the death of the owner, but the only extra ability that grants the Co-Owner is the ability to manage the subscription. See this article for more information:

    I hope this helps!

This is an excellent question posed by LexLuther. The function he is requesting should be available and is very basic and should have been thought out before product release. Nobody wants all of their personal information viewable/accessible by anyone else unless they die.

I am cancelling my Lifehub membership until this is resolved.

    Hello @LexLuther & @DaveDE,

Following up on our earlier discussion, there is a feature that may meet your needs for allowing access only after you're gone. You are able to customize the roles of household members to specify what they can see now and what they will see only after you're gone.

For more information, see this article:
