How do I know if I am running Quicken Classic for the Mac. What does Classic mean? What are the versions?

There is just one version of the software for the Mac - Quicken Classic - with multiple subscription levels enabling different features. You can select About from the Quicken menu to see what your current subscription level is.

    Hello @SteveU75,

To add to Jon’s explanation— “Classic” was simply added in the name to distinguish the difference between Quicken Classic and Quicken Simplifi since both are products provided by Quicken.

    Hope this helps!

The current version of Quicken is 7.10.1.

If "About Quicken" on the Quicken menu shows you have 7.9 or older, you can select "Check for Updates" on the same menu to download and install the latest release. Typically, there is a new version (7.9, 7.10, 7.11…) about every other month, and one or two dot updates to fix bugs (7.10.1, 7.10.2…) a week or two after new versions are released.

As mentioned above, Quicken subscriptions come in four levels: Starter, Deluxe, Premier, and Business & Personal. The vast majority of Quicken Mac users are running Quicken Deluxe. Only recently have they started adding some new features which require Premier. There is only one version of the program, and your subscription level determines whether certain features are enabled.
