Quicken cannot connect to server issue
It was suggested in a prior post to login to cloud with a different user id. The problem is that in order to do that you have to get Quicken to open. I can't even get that far. Just asks for my email and password and then gives me the try again later, Quicken can't connect to server error.

You don't "…login to cloud with a different user id", rather you log off and then log on with your current user id and password. A different login and password would be denied by the server.

Did you perform the checks suggested in this discussion?

So here we are a few hours later, and the same issue is happened again. What to do? Uninstall and reinstall every few hours as the need arises? OR, should Quicken fix the issues that are happening? This is a very important program to all of its users, and it does put one on edge when it doesn't work properly, or consistently.

Are you sure that your computer is 100% healthy, free of virus infections, no unexpected hardware issues?
How is your computer connected to the internet? WiFi or Ethernet cable to your in-house network router or both at the same time?
When you step away from your computer, does it go to hibernate or sleep or power down after a while? Does it resume operation properly afterwards, including reconnecting to the internet?0 -
I am running Malwarebytes Ultimate. I am connected with a fiber connection via ethernet i Gb connection, the computer never goes to sleep, it is a desktop which runs 24/7. The motherboard is brand new, The Asus Z790 Creator WiFi with an intel i7-13700K chip, current bios 2703, 64 gigs of DDR5 memory, The wifi connection is off, and when last scanned which was last evening, there were no issues. The video card is an RTX A2000 with 12 gigs of video ram. IN short, I don't think that it's the computer.

Last questions from me and then you'll have to contact Quicken Support. I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here …
What's the name of the folder which contains your current Quicken data file?
Is that folder being processed by Microsoft OneDrive for backups to the Microsoft cloud?
If so, try configuring OneDrive to NOT access the .QDF file while Quicken is running. Let the Quicken Backup on Exit process create Automatic AND Manual Backups every time you close Quicken.0 -
c:\Users\xxx\documents\Quicken
I do not use any cloud backup. I keep it all on local external hard drives

You mentioned that you never shut down your computer. That can sometimes be problematic, not just for Quicken but for other applications and functions, as well, because it does not allow the computer to refresh. Computers do occasionally need to be refreshed so everything functions correctly and that is most easily accomplished by rebooting it. You might want to try rebooting your computer to see if that resolves the issue for you.

I do restart my computer every morning for just that reason. Quicken did after repeated attempts finally connect with it's server, so for the moment it is functionning again.
