Anyone else getting CC-506 errors with USAA today? These recurring problems with OSU downloads are getting annoying.

    I did mine around 6am PST this morning without issue.

    I have had sporadic issues with USAA but they usually clear up after a short while. When they don't, I go through the steps to reauthorize but typically wait until the next day.

    First, I invite you to review this FAQ regarding CC-506 error messages. There are some troubleshooting steps and information that could serve to be useful for you. It is recommended to save a backup before proceeding with troubleshooting steps. You can also find these instructions below.

    Update to the latest release of Quicken

    1. Choose Tools menu > One Step Update.
    2. Deselect all items, and then click Update Now.
    3. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to update to the latest release.
    4. Try updating your accounts again. If the problem persists, continue with the procedures below.

    Refresh your account information

    1. From your account register, select the Actions gear icon at the very top of your register (Ctrl + Shift + N).
    2. Then select Update Now.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
    4. If the problem persists, continue with the procedures below.

    Deactivate all accounts for this financial institution, then force Quicken to "discover" all available accounts:

    1. Open the Account List in Quicken (Tools > Account List OR Ctrl + A);
    2. If present, select the Show Hidden Accounts checkbox at the bottom of the Account List;
    3. Edit each account with this financial institution to Deactivate (or Remove From One Step Update) on the Online Services tab;
    4. Click on the General tab and remove any info displayed in the Financial Institution, and Account/Routing Number fields. Note: The account must be deactivated first before these fields can be edited.
    5. When finished, close the Account List;
    6. Close, then re-open Quicken;
    7. Click the Add Account button at the bottom of the Account Bar on your main view;
    8. Walk through this process as if you were going to add a new account, providing the login credentials and answering any security questions/processes presented, UNTIL you reach the screen where Quicken displays the Accounts Discovered at the financial institution;
    9. Very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have set up in Quicken.

    If the account was closed, deactivate it from future online updates

    1. Choose Tools menu > Account List.
    2. Click the Edit button next to the account you want to deactivate.
    3. In the Account Details dialog, click the Online Services tab.
    4. Click Deactivate to stop downloading transactions for this account.

    I have been having this frequent CC-506 problem for the past few weeks. Clicking on "Fix It" sends me on the same loop.

    Odd. I connected without issue earlier this morning and just now @6:50AM PST. My accounts are checking and CC.

    If the issue persists after that, then please send us log files by going to Help>Report a Problem and sending a problem report with the log files attached. If possible, including a screenshot of the exact error message you are seeing would also be helpful.

    I, too, keep getting these CC-506 errors with USAA. They come and they go. Three days ago, I got CC-506s with USAA. The next day, it fixed itself. Today, it happened again. This is getting old. Waiting a day or two for the issue to spontaneously fix itself is not a solution. Reauthorizing all these USAA accounts over and over again is not a solution. Quicken/USAA need to fix whatever the underlying problem is. I submit a report from within Quicken every time it happens. So, hopefully, they'll be able to track it down.

    And, again. The day after the previous CC-506 on USAA, it spontaneously fixed itself for two day. Today, another CC-506. Report submitted.

    FWIW, I just sync'ed for the 3rd time today (just now) and no errors (also no new transactions, did get 1 on my first sync).

    Once again, my CC-506 errors for USAA went away after a day. This time, they stayed gone for two whole days. Today, on 12/22/2024, they're back.

    I have no explanation. I was able to sync just fine with USAA today (2 accounts). Have not had any issues with Quicken since my last post here. I do daily (early morning) updates.

    No I don't want to sign up for an email digest.

    I want Quicken to work correctly. Again, 506 error today. Worked fine 12-24-24. I had to deactivate and reactivate my accounts. I really wish it would not keep doing this. I wasted about an hour messing around. At least it is working now.

    Mine has been sync'ing fine since my last post on this thread.
