Seeing the same  HTTP-404 Error from TD Bank Online Banking. Quicken error code: 16503 with Quicken Mac with TD Bank

Ugh. Here we go again. Didn't this just happen for an extended period a couple of months ago?
I can understand an issue that lasts a few hours occurring every now and then, but a connection error that lasts more than 24 hours is unacceptable in this day and age. Of course we don't know if the problem is on the Quicken side or the TD side.

    I hope it's resolved by Monday 12/2/24

I also see the same error that started on 11/29/24.

There was an unknown error trying to update this connection. Please try again later. (16503)

    This errors out very quickly.

I have another financial institution connected to TD Bank that is updated correctly. When I checked TD-linked services, everything looked correct and was up to date.

Still happening today - 11/30/2024. Obviously there is a problem between Quicken and TD.

This why I will NEVER switch to paperless billing from any bank or business. As long as I have something on paper, and a stamp, I can still pay a bill.

How do customers get this issue resolved? Do we report this issue to TD Bank? Or to Quicken? [Removed - Speculation]

    Reported.

I’ve been using Quicken for almost four decades, since v 1.0. I'm delighted it's still actively supported!

I resolved this problem of - TD Bank - HTTP-404/16503 (QMAC).

I contacted TD Bank Technical support and they had me disconnect the accounts that would not update and reconnect them using TD Bank Web Connect option within the Quicken list of option. Once this was done everything connected and the transactions were downloaded and the process completed successfully. I hope this helps.

I don’t think you will be able to pay bills with web connect. You need direct connect to pay bills. I am going to wait to see if they fix the problem before I disconnect.

Looks like the problem is fixed. I just did an update and got no errors and it downloaded everything.

The problem with TDBank is that they are not sharing your account with Quicken or any other institution. You have to go into your TD account and allow sharing with Quicken. It will only share for one year and you have to authorize it again. I had the same problem downloading last week. I changed the connection method and had to authorize sharing with Quicken, and got an email from TD warning me that someone had accessed my account and authorized sharing and was it me. If it wasn’t me then I should go into my TD account and stop sharing. The email also said the sharing would be for ONE YEAR. I looked into my account and saw that my two accounts were sharing as of 12/2/2024 and was good until 12/2/2025. So next year I have to reauthorize it again. I wasn’t aware of this until now. I don’t recall this being a problem before but it must be a new security requirement for TDBank. I’m on QMac
