Planning budget not summing actuals correctly
I am looking at the annual view of my budget and there are times when the "actual" for a month displays a different amount than when I look at the details for that amount (which I see in the window that pops up when I click on it). The problem is intermittent - it was showing, I closed and restarted the app, it was still showing, then I switched away and switched back and it was correct. I am attaching 2 screenshots showing the budget / actual amounts and then the window with the details. Note that the sum at the bottom of the details window is correct, but doesn't match what the actual column is showing.
I am running Quicken Classic Premier, Version R59.35, build 72.1.59.35

Hello @don.kostello,
To assist with this issue, please provide more information. When did you first notice this issue? How often does it happen? Does this happen with only one budget category, or multiple? Is there any pattern to when this issue happens? Does switching away and back again always correct the issue? If so, does it matter what screen you switch to?
I look forward to your response!

I first noticed it a few weeks ago, but never really looked at all my past months budgets so don't know when it first appeared. I see it happening for another category, but not for every month. With the category from my screenshot, it is wrong for every month, and seems to be wrong every time I open the budget for the first time in a session, and it shows the same wrong value each time. The only way I can see to consistently get it to correct itself is to do some sort of transaction to cause a recalculation (this fixes even prior months), but this only fixes the category where every month is wrong, not the one where only 1 month is wrong.

Thank you for your reply,
Since I'm not able to replicate the issue you're encountering, I suspect this is a file-specific issue. To troubleshoot this, please start by validating and/or super validating your data file. Please save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
Validate:
- File
- Validate and Repair File...
- Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.
Super Validate:
- File
- Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
- Super Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
Please let me know how it goes!

Hello @don.kostello,
Thank you for trying the steps provided by @Quicken Kristina and following up, though I am sorry to hear that this issue still persists.
Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.
However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files).
After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.
Let us know how it goes!

So this seems to have partially solved it. I am seeing some discrepancies where the sum that's in my budget is correct, but the transactions window is not including transactions from one of my accounts (so this total is not correct while the one showing in the budget page is correct). The missing transactions seem to come from the same account - it is a banking account, and I have it selected in the "Select accounts", so I don't know why it's not appearing in the transactions popup.
