Quicken Business & Personal for Mac now support HST tracking?
I received update email from quicken stating limited early access - my question is is GST/HST tracking now available on the Mac version like the windows version?
here is the summary of the part I am referencing
"Quicken Business & Personal, just released in limited early access, is the easiest way for small business owners and self-employed individuals to track their personal finances and their business finances, separately or side by side, all in one place. Designed for contractors, consultants, sole proprietors, and other similar business users, Quicken Business & Personal has all the personal finance functionality of Quicken Simplifi plus complete business finance functionality. Initial capabilities include expense tracking, invoicing and invoice payments, customer and project tracking, tax categories, and exceptionally flexible reporting."

I haven't seen such an email, but I found this language in an update post from Quicken CEO Eric Dunn. That post is in the Quicken Simplifi user forum, and was addressed to Simplifi users. So I believe what you quoted refers to Quicken Simplifi, not Quicken Classic. There is no "early access" to Quicken Mac Business & Personal that I'm aware of.
As that post says further down, Quicken Mac users "will soon have all-new invoicing and invoice tracking capabilities." Invoicing will certainly include the ability to apply and track sales taxes, but I'm not familia enough with Canadian taxes to speculate about whether tricking for US sales taxes and Canadian GDT/HST can be accomplished in the same place and manner in the software. I guess we'll find out "soon". 😉

This new “Quicken Business & Personal” is an extension of Simplifi; it is not describing anything related to Quicken Mac. They’re selling it as a separate product from Simplifi, but it’s really akin to a user upgrading from Quicken Classic premier to Quicken Classic Business & Personal. There is now a product page for it, and a separate Community forum for it.
In a separate development, Quicken Mac Business & Personal will soon receive a previously promised upgrade to include many of the same invoicing and related features.
Details of specific features in the Quicken Classic Mac implementation of Business & Personal and the Quicken Simplifi Business & Personal will likely be similar but not identical.
I don’t understand why in some places on Quicken’s website, they refer to “Quicken Simplifi Business & Personal” and other places, including the post by Dunn, they refer to “Quicken Business & Personal” without Simplifi in the name. I’d think omitting Simplifi from the name will cause confusion among users and potential users, but the marketing folks at Quicken often make choices I find odd.
