"Show cash in a checking account"
Changed investment account to show cash in a checking account. All seemed ok, transactions showed as uncleared in newly created checking account. Problem is I cannot find a way to clear or reconcile them.
Any suggestions?

Yes, found this out after many searches. Most time I reconcile transactions with the Transaction reconcile function. Thought it would work because it was an option when I selected all the new transactions. Obviously didn't, so I was off to more searching. Finally got all transactions reconciled by entering the account opening amount and prior and ending balances Reconcile account screen. Worked ok.
Wish quicken would have given more info regarding The Show Cash option. Would have saved me a painful experience.

My wording is confusing. In the reconciliation screen I enter the first transaction amount (May 2019) in the Prior Balance and the last transaction amount (Dec 2024) as the ending balance. Selected Match All. After running all was ok.
Hope that clears the confusion up.

So, there's no longer an issue? Is that correct? If so, the Mods can close this thread.

That pseudo-account that was created can be reconciled in the same manner as any other checking account in Q.
For some reason, is that not working for you? If so, please elaborate upon the exact results that you're getting.
And, when you download into the taxable brokerage account, any Cash txn should be automatically re-directed to the pseudo-account and marked as cleared.

I'm a bit confused. Because when I turned that option on, it moved ALL of the cash txn from my taxable account (and, in another action, my wife's) to the pseudo-account.
So, it's not apparent to me how the Opening Balance could be wrong. Any thoughts on the matter?Q user since February, 1990. DOS Version 4
