How to change a bank accounts User and PW (Q Mac)

Hello:
I have my bank accounts set up on my Quicken file for downloads. The problem I have is that I have 2 sets of Usernames/PW for my online banking. I currently use one of those sets for Quicken downloads, but I wish to switch some of those bank accounts to my other set of User/PW for Quicken downloads.
I've already tried disconnecting those bank accounts in Quicken, and erasing the PW from Keychain and Passwords apps. When I try to connect the bank accounts again by "Add a new acount", I am able to put the new set of credentials in, and are accepted, but when Quicken shows me the list of bank accounts to add, it only shows me the accounts I never added to Quicken. I have not been able to get Quicken to show me the accounts already set up in Quicken and later Disconected so I can connect them again and link them to the proper existing account in Quicken.
I searched the web and that is the only method I find, but something is not working for me. I simply want to put new online banking credentials for accounts I already download to Quicken under old credentials.
Thanks to all for any help you can give me.
I have Quicken Classic Deluxe by subscription, Version 7.10.1 on Mac OS 15.2

Thank you for providing the name of the financial institution.
To clarify and gain a better understanding— Was the old credentials replaced with the new credentials on the bank's end? Or are both old and new credentials separate and still working on the bank's website? If so, is there a reason for having the 2 separate credentials (i.e.: authorized user accounts, etc)?
Let us know! Thank you.

both set of credentials still work
I have 5-6 accounts with the same bankSome of those accounts show up using both sets of credentials. Others only show up with one specific set and not the other.
When setting up quicken I used both sets of credentials randomly. But now most of the accounts that only show up on the second set of credentials will stop being used. So I want to re-set the accounts that can use both sets but were set up with the set about to be not needed anymore. These accounts need to be reprogrammed to use the credentials I plan to keep using.
I know it’s a little confusing to explain. I hope I was able to clarify it.

Thank you for the additional information.
In that case, I recommend creating a new (test) file and try adding the accounts in the test file to see if you receive the same result there. Once that is done, you can switch back to your original file.
Please, review this support article for instructions on how to create a new file and how to switch back to your original file afterward.
Let us know how it goes!

Hello
Tried with a whole new Quicken file. Tried to add all accounts, but when Quicken logs into my bank, same thing happens. I can only see and select accounts which have never been added before into Quicken. I cannot see the accounts already in quicken but that I need to reconnect with new credentials.

@miltonei thank you for following up, though I'm sorry to hear that the issue still persists.
Since this is also happening in a new data file, this is likely an issue on the bank's end of the server causing those accounts to not be sent through to Quicken. At this point, I recommend reaching out to the bank directly for further assistance. It is also recommended to request to speak to a tier 2 agent or supervisor as they are generally more familiar with third-party applications such as Quicken.
I apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.

There are 2 different non-business Add Account listings for Banco Popular. In the FIDIR (Financial Institutions Directory) list they as follows:
20772 20772 20772 Banco Popular Puerto Rico EWC https://www.popular.com/ 1-888-724-3650 https://www.bancopopular.com/cibp-web/actions/login ACTIVE BANKING,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
67597 67597 67597 Banco Popular de Puerto Rico https://www.mypopularbanking.com/ 800-377-0800 https://www.mypopularbanking.com/ ACTIVE CREDIT&WEB-CONNECT BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
You posted above that you are trying to set up a connection with "Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, www.popular.com".
- But "www.popular.com" is associated with #20772 which is Banco Popular Puerto Rico, not Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. I am not sure but #20772 appears to be for the Puerto Rico branch.
- And "Banco Popular de Puerto Rico" is associated with #67597 which is www.mypopularbanking.com, not www.popular.com. I am not sure but #67597 appears to be for the USA branch.
So, please clarify which Add Account financial institution you have been trying to get set up with. And have you tried to set up with the other one?

Thanks for both your replies
I am using the EWC link and have for years, and my accounts still update correctly when left alone with the credentials I originally set them with. The whole problem is trying to change those credentials to newer ones, since the ones Quicken has always used without problem, and still work, will likely be deactivated at some point in the future.
It is all Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. I'm not sure how that directory works, maybe different links for different branches? Anyways I just want to be clear that Quicken is still working properly. It simply won't let me change those credentials to the new ones.
Thanks

More updates
Tried all the other Banco Popular links to connect. Only EWC works, the other don't.
Tried to reconnect the accounts with the old credentials which were used before disconnecting, and the same problem as with using the new credentials shows up: I can only see the accounts that have never been added to Quicken. I cannot see the acounts I disconnected. So now none of my 2 sets of credentials shows me the accounts.

@miltonei - First, I must apologize. I just now noticed that you are using QMac. My post about regarding the FIDIR is for QWin. QMac has its own FIDIR that in many cases is the same for QWin but there are also differences. While there might be differences in the FIDIRs (not sure about this), the basic premise about trying other listing when trying to set up the accounts for download still applies and that is what you did, so good.
Given that you are using QMac and my expertise with that is limited I am not going to be able to offer you much more in the way of advice. You might want to try reverting your connections to using the credentials that partially worked for you earlier. That will allow you to download some transactions until you can get this issue fully resolved.
At this point, I would have to agree with the suggestion of @Quicken Anja to contact the bank and make inquiry with them to see what kind of guidance/suggestions they might have.

Hi @boatnmaniac and thanks for your reply.
For what it’s worth, it’s Quicken Deluxe by subscription on a Mac. I don’t know if that makes a difference.I tried today to go back to my old credentials like you say, expecting them to work. I was surprised they no longer do. Could it be that Quicken somewhere stores whatever accounts I had already added, and have not deleted, and won’t offer to link them anymore? Or as you say, it’s the bank that thinks the accounts are still linked and does not present them again?
I will try calling their online banking support as you guys suggest. We’ll see how that goes.

The edition of Quicken (Starter, Deluxe, Premier, Business & Personal) that you are using makes no difference in how the connection methods work. This is true for both QMac and QWin.
When an EWC download connection has been deactivated in Quicken it is supposed to remove the credentials from the aggregator's (Intuit's) server. So there is nothing about that should be causing a block of setting up a new connection.
Perhaps there will be someone with more QMac expertise that might pop in on this thread and offer some suggestions on how to resolve this issue. But, yes, do call your bank.

Hello again. After dealing with the bank tech dept, they were no help at all, they see no problem on their end, and they consider Quicken an "external platform" they do not deal with. So I am on my own.
