Hello Everyone and Happy New Year! In my family, we celebrate the New Year by gathering either in person or over the phone (if in person isn't possible). It's a fun time and tends to be lower stress than other holiday gatherings.

Hello All,

Our family tradition is to turn on every light in the home 5 minutes before midnight, and we don't turn it off for at least 15 minutes after midnight to give the New Year a "bright" welcome.

If something has a lightbulb in it, it better be on! 😄

Hello everyone and welcome to 2025!

I don't believe my family really has any traditions regarding New Years Eve, however, there is always a kiss at midnight and a countdown to midnight! Occasionally, we will go out on the town or maybe find a fireworks show, or even just stay home and watch the ball/potato/taco (you name it) drop at midnight. As a matter of fact, embarrassingly, I didn't even make it to midnight this year LOL. I was in bed and asleep by 10:30.
