I have used Quicken for Windows for years. Around January 5, 2025 it started crashing during startup. I spent over 5 hours on the phone with CSRs with the final conclusion from Quicken being that there is a known problem in the software causing the crash. I had tried everything: reinstalling a clean copy of Quicken, deleting all associated AppData files before installing, verifying my data file, opening Quicken without a data file. None of this worked. I did find that running the current patch enabled me to open Quicken from the patch window, but it would not open again after closing. Customer Service gave me a case number and said the team is working on the problem and will let me know when it is resolved. Meanwhile, no Quicken for me!
