After moving my file from surface pro 9 to new surface pro 11, it seems its unable to email invoices and estimates due to a driver issue. Any one else experienced this?
Hello @Lortiz,
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing.
Could you please elaborate and tell us exactly what happens when you attempt to email an invoice? Do you receive any specific error messages? And when did this issue first start? It may also be helpful to provide a screenshot of what you're seeing. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!
Here is the message i get when i try to email a customer directly from quicken on my new surface pro 11 copiliot. This function worked with no issues on my previous surface 9.
Thank you for following up and providing the screenshots.
I attempted to replicate this but was not able to do so. Have you tried sending an email to multiple different emails, or just the one customer's email? If you have tried sending to others, do you receive these error messages every time?
If you don't have any invoices to email to other customers at this time, you can try emailing one to yourself to see if you are still experiencing the same error.
Check back and let us know! Thank you.
Also when printing reports in Quicken, do you see "Quicken PDF Printer on nul:" as one of the available printers, and does selecting that printer create PDF files that you can read?
The email sending process depends on that driver to produce the PDF invoices and the error messages you show above imply that the driver is missing.
I don't know about this specific problem, but for older Windows versions there is posted documentation about (re-)installing the Quicken PDF Printer Driver here:
Error Codes: "-20" and " -30" When Printing to the Quicken PDF Printer | Quicken
Look in the section "If the issue persists" and follow the instructions. Report back if you detect any errors during this installation process.
@ jim that driver for some reason is not availble for the surfacepro 11.
I have same issue… how do I get the Quicken PDF Printer driver??? the installerPDFconverter.exe reinstall does not appear to do anything….
I do not see option of quicken pdf printer on nul. I just moved to windows 11 . How can I find this print driver?
Hello @PR_1950,
If it's not already installed on your device, then as @UKR posted earlier, you can follow these directions for "If the issue persists" from this article:
Please let me know how it goes!
It did not work. I’ve been told by Quicken support that this is a Windows 11 issue and I should contact Microsoft help. I told Quicken support that I pay an annual subscription to Quicken and they should contact Microsoft. They said the can’t. I do not believe that Quicken cannot resolve this issue.
@pr_1950 i feel your pain , I have brand new computer and can't even use it for the business I bought it for. I'm done with quicken going to quickbooks.
I installed Quicken on my wife's new Surface Pro Snapdragon Copilot+ laptop with Win11 Pro 24H2 (can the name get any longer!) and everything including the Quicken PDF printer work fine.
Yes but the ability to email invoice directly from quicken doesn't work which is huge .

I had the quicken pdf printer working on my SP9 with Windows 11. I tried running the installPDFConverter.exe program in the PDFdrv folder, but nothing happened. Has anyone found a cure? Is there any other way to reinstall the Quicken PDF printer driver? does quicken support have a download? thanks John
This issue is on my new SP11 laptop….
