Go to Planning- Budget, graph Bar at top shows different loss then budget sheet below it

On the page where I do my budget , for last year it shows a loss. The graph bar at top of page shows a different loss then the actual budget below it. Not by much (243) but I am not sure what the difference is. There are no uncategorized transactions. I also have run a report budget to actual and the loss on budget page is the same as report budget to actual. I wonder the bar on top where it pulls from and what could possibly be the difference, I do not recognize the number and am baffled at this point. Anyone have ideas?

    Hello @FreddieSunshine,

I'm sorry to hear you're encountering this problem. To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide more information. Is this happening in the Graph View, Annual View, or both?

Typically, when you hover your mouse over that bar, it does give some information, which may help narrow down where it's seeing that extra amount.

It may help if you post some screenshots of what you're seeing (with personal information redacted). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

I look forward to your response!

Thank you Kristina, I posted a screen shot, I figured that out!! YEA!! Let me know if you have any ideas of where to look for difference, the top of the bar just told me my deficit and no other info. Thanks

    Thank you for your reply,

Do you include income in your budget? If so, that may be the reason for the difference you are seeing in the total at the lower right compared to the bar at the top. The totals in the details view take both budgeted vs. actual income and budgeted vs. actual expenses into account (and the number at the lower right is the sum of the total balance each month).

For example, in the screenshot above, you can see that the top bar is just looking at spending vs. budget. The totals along the bottom, on the other hand, are taking into account that the actual income for each month was less than budgeted.

    I hope this helps!
