Did you see this? T Rowe Price downloaded all the EOY 2024 dividend/cap gains again today!
My T Rowe Price accounts re-downloaded all the December/EOY dividend , ST CG, LT cap gain transactions this morning! They are identical to what I have in the register from December.
Maybe this is a TRP problem, did anyone else see this?
EDIT: It's all transactions - It repeated a few buy/sell transactions I had in December as well. In addition, I just downloaded my Mom's transactions (separate Quicken file, separate TRP logon), and all hers downloaded too. So it's not account specific to me…

Hello @Don Awalt,
I understand how frustrating this must be, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
Has this issue occurred just once with both your account and your mom’s, or has it happened repeatedly since you noticed it the first time?
To start, I recommend reviewing and following the steps outlined in this support article on duplicate downloaded transactions.
I hope this helps!

I have only seen it once on both accounts. In fact, on mine, I re-ran the download all after I fixed the transaction download, and everything was fine. Thanks for the help @Quicken Anja, I do know how to correct it, I just deleted the incoming transactions. but I have never seen anything like this before, every account for the whole prior month of December re-downloaded. It will be interesting to see if other users report the same thing today or tomorrow.

Same issue. Also saw 1 January transaction repeated this week only.

Thank you for joining the discussion @funkws,
Per the article on troubleshooting duplicate transactions, please delete the duplicates and monitor to see if they redownload. Note: the directions the article shows for adding the Downloaded ID column are relevant only for banking registers; the column cannot be added to investment registers.
If the issue happens again after you have deleted the duplicates, please let us know so we can further investigate the issue.
Please let me know how it goes!

Yes, I recently saw the same thing happen with 2 TRP accounts (2 mutual funds). They were exact duplicates of the December transactions, except with January dates. I deleted them, and all is well.

Since this problem seems to be only with TRP accounts, I assume it was a problem on their in. I signed in to TRP and could find no mention of the issue. Please note that the article on trouble shooting duplicate downloads requires adding a column to the register that cannot be added to investment accounts in the Windows app. The only alternative is to delete the downloaded transactions manually. I am in the process of deleting them from the downloaded transaction list without accepting them into the register. In my case, that a lot of accounts and transactions! ☺️

Hey folks, @Don Awalt, @funkws, @tompfr, @John Wagner, PSA here - make sure TRP download is still working for you. It isn't for me. I have almost daily transactions and they are not downloading.
FYI, this is the path that my data has followed: On 1/25 I got a repeat of the next previous transaction for EVERY mutual fund account. For example, for one account that had not had activity since September, I got the 9/6/24 transaction. So I dutifully deleted the duplicates and manually added the missing transactions thinking it was a glitch and would right itself. However, on Tuesday, 1/28, I downloaded again, and interestingly, I again got the next previous transaction, but only for those funds that had activity on 1/27. This has been happening all this week - I have to delete the duplicates and manually enter the new transactions that didn't download. As @John Wagner assumed, I have to agree this is a TRP problem and I need to contact them. Also, across my files I have 45 separate accounts with TRP so it is not reasonable for me to just test and see if resetting the accounts in Quicken helps - that is very time consuming.

Update - I contacted TRP and they had me first deactivate/activate an account and that didn't work. Then they had me set up a new Quicken file and when I added that account, it downloaded a year's worth of transactions including the missing ones from this past few days. This could possibly indicate some sort of file corruption. While I am sure there might be other options, the easiest one for me to try quickly is to restore from a backup last week and refresh everything to see if this resolves the issue. If not, I will be contacting Quicken as this is something they would need to help resolve.

Just in case anybody cares, going to backup did not work, so I assumed a data corruption. Did a Validate and downloads are now working. Pretty long list of things to check and possibly fix from that validate. What a pain in the neck, to have a corruption and the TRP issue at the same time; made troubleshooting harder.

Not an issue in my case, Validate and Super Validate passed with no issues.
