Six More Weeks of Winter…

Since Punxsutawney Phil the groundhog has predicted 6 more weeks of winter, do you have any winter plans left for the rest of the winter season?
My family and I don’t have any official plans made other than my older kids’ out of state basketball tournament, but my kids have been asking (or rather nagging) us to go skiing. We’ll have to see if that’s something we can manage to squeeze into our busy schedule. I’ve also never skied before, so that should be interesting, and it’ll be my toddler’s first real exposure to snow. ❄️
We’d love to hear about any winter adventures you might have planned (past or present)!

I don't have any winter adventures planned. I'm not a big fan of the cold, and it seems like the older I get, the harder the ground feels when I fall while skiing or ice skating.
I'd have to say my most memorable winter adventure was when my sister and I were still grade school aged and the family decided to go cross-country skiing on Mt. Spokane. It was a nice change of scenery, and there were a few humorous moments where steeper parts of the cross country trails sent us accidentally sliding backwards down the slope.

Hello Everyone and Welcome to February,
I think my official plan is to hibernate for the rest of winter.. I am really looking forward to Spring as I would like to plant some new flowers and start a small garden of herbs and veggies! I don't dislike the snow but I am not a fan either. Winter is an "eh" season for me.
I can't wait to hear everyone else's plans!

Hibernation until Easter sounds like a good idea, especially when I look out the window and see that it's raining right now. 😉

We had our first real snow day of the year here yesterday which is kind of odd as we usually get a lot more snow throughout the winter here in Idaho. But it was gone by this morning and it's been nothing but rain over here too since then.

I don't know, he seems a little shady. Might be an incognito meteorologist…

We ran away from the cold northeast on Groundhog's Day; I'm writing from the balcony of our cruise ship off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean. 😁 Regretfully, the cruise will end long before Phil's 6 weeks are up, so before too long, we'll be back in the cold waiting for spring!

A cruise in the Caribbean sounds wonderful! I hope you're enjoying your time away. 🙂

If you're getting a little "beach time" in, be sure to use plenty of suntan lotion.
