Post Missing/Removed

So, I'm getting ready to do a Validate on my Quicken file and, since I always forget, I have to look up one of my old posts in order to be reminded of what is stored in the VALIDATE folder once the Validate process completes (whether the Quicken data file in the VALIDATE folder is the new, validated data file or a backup made prior to performing Validate).

I go to My Discussions and find the post I made about the answer to that question not being in Quicken's support articles. Clicking the article now just throws me to the Quicken Support page.

Was the post removed and, if so, why?

Is this post going to be removed because I asked why the other one was removed?

    Hello @MSStateDawg,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention!

I checked your profile and attempted to open the same post. While the post doesn’t appear to be archived, I encountered the same issue—being redirected to our support page. This suggests that the issue may be related to Vanilla, our forum platform service provider.

I’m forwarding this along internally for further investigation.

    Thank you for your patience!

    Thanks.

Still would like to see an explanation added to the support articles for the VALIDATE folder.

While I can't guarantee it will be updated, I can go ahead and submit a modification request to the proper channel for this.

To confirm, is this the info you are wanting to have added:
"What is stored in the VALIDATE folder once the Validate process completes (whether the Quicken data file in the VALIDATE folder is the new, validated data file or a backup made prior to performing Validate)"

    Thank you!

To answer your issue about Validation, the copy of the file that is put in the Validate folder is a BACKUP created BEFORE the validation is done. It is your safety copy to revert to if something in the validation corrupts the file.

After validation, you continue to use the data file that was in the original location.
