Navigation to the webpage was cancelled

Hi. I am using Quicken Classic Premier (Release R61.21). When trying to "Download Asset Classes" on the Allocations section of the "Investing" tab, I get a message saying "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled".

I saw in another post to delete the folder "C:\Program Data\Quicken\Cache", but I cannot find that folder. I do have a folder named "\Quicken\GPUCache", but wasn't sure if I should delete that folder. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello @gwforit,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, I attempted to replicate this but was unable to do so.

In order to further assist you, I would like to gather some more information. Where is your data file located on your computer— is it on your computer hard drive (C: Drive) or in a cloud-based/external drive (e.g.: OneDrive, DropBox, USB, etc)?To start with,  I suggest that you try clearing Quicken cache to see if it may help. To do so, you will first need to close Quicken, then in your File Explorer, you will need to remove the “Cache” folder from “C:\programData\Quicken”, then reopen Quicken.

Please keep in mind that the ProgramData is a hidden folder; is that the roadblock you're encountering? If so, you can find information on unhiding folders on Microsoft's Support site.

I hope this helps, let me know!

I am not the original poster, but I had the same issue. I followed the advice from @Quicken Jasmine (deleted the Cache folder), and it solved my problem.

@gwforit Note that the ProgramData folder is one word not 2, and it is hidden by default. Perhaps that explains why you could not find it.

To see hidden items in Windows 11 Windows Explorer, click on View at the top, then Show, then Hidden items.

    Hello @Karen Tracy,

Thank you for joining the discussion to let us know you encountered this issue. To clarify, when you say you tried clearing the cache solution, do you mean you deleted the cache folder?

If that is not what you mean, then please provide more detail what process you followed.

Did the solution correct the issue, or is it still persisting?

I look forward to your reply!
