Loft Comenity Bank

Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭✭

I have not been able to connect my loft credit card to quicken. I called quicken and they can't recommend what financial institution to pick when I set up the card or if the card is supported. I then called loft comenity and they don't even know what quicken software is.

I feel quicken should know the specifics of this. This I feel is a long problem with quicken and their support of this product.

    Hello @frank6,

    We appreciate you taking the time to reach out about this issue!

    Upon reviewing your account, I see that you’re receiving an FDP-103 error internally when attempting to connect with both Comenity Credit Card and Loft Credit Card. Before proceeding with troubleshooting, could you confirm the exact URL you use to access your online banking for this card? This will help us determine the correct instance to use in Quicken.

    Looking forward to your response! Thank you.

    Hello @frank6,

    Thanks for confirming that URL!

    This error occurs when your financial institution tells Quicken that your login credentials are incorrect or there are outdated login credentials stored in Quicken for Mac and/or the Keychain app. I suggest reviewing the instructions below in an attempt to resolve the issue, it is recommended to save a backup before proceeding (just in case). You can find these instructions and more information in this Support Article.

    First, deactivate all the accounts with the affected financial institution

    1. Open Quicken.
    2. Go to the Accounts menu and choose Hide and Show Accounts;
    3. Uncheck any accounts with this specific financial institution (FI) that are hidden in Lists;
    4. When complete, click on the account name for your account(s) in the Accounts toolbar in Quicken.
    5. Click the Settings icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
    6. Select the Downloads tab.
    7. Click on Disconnect Account.
    8. Click Done. Do this on each account with this FI.
    9. Quit Quicken.

    Second, delete Quicken passwords from the Keychain

    1. Open Finder and go to Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access app;
    2. On the left panel in the Keychain app, set the Keychains to Login and the Category to Passwords.
    3. Find and delete any entries that show Quicken or Quicken Connect and this FI name;
    4. Quit the Keychain Access app and open Quicken.

    Third, re-add the accounts

    1. Go to Accounts > Add Account.
    2. Type the name of the financial institution and make the appropriate selection.
    3. Enter your login credentials and click Continue.
    4. When Quicken has returned all accounts discovered for this FI, very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have setup in Quicken.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you, but that did not help. Same problem. Can we start from the beginning ?

    1. Does quicken and the loft card from comenity bank off downloads?
    2. What Financial Institution do I choose, Loft.com or comenity.net? By the way I tried both and same error.

    This leads me to believe that comentiy.net does not offer quicken downloads.

    Thanks for following up and trying the steps provided by @Quicken Jasmine.

    Unfortunately, we don’t have access to confirm whether Loft Comenity Bank supports online connectivity for transaction downloads with Quicken. Only the financial institution can verify if they support this, therefore, we recommend contacting them to confirm.

    If they do support Quicken downloads, they should also be able to confirm which financial institution instance (e.g.: Loft Credit Card or Comenity Credit Card) is the correct one to use.

    Once you've confirmed that downloads are supported and which instance to use, if you're still encountering the same error, let us know—we'll be happy to assist further, including escalating the issue if needed.

    Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I wasted my time troubleshooting this. From what I can tell this bank does not support Quicken downloads.

    Quicken needs to improve this by being able to confirm what companies support and work with Quicken. I feel that the list of unsupported companies is growing and this will have a negative outcome for Quicken. I am a 30+ year user of Quicken and don't want it to go away or be less useful.

    Discover. Old card work but new account does not work. I called Discover and they told be that down support Quicken downloads

    Loft - Comenity Bank. I could not get a answer from Comenity Bank that I believe

    PNC Core Visa card. Connects but does not download transactions. I have to call PNC about this. I have several other PNC accounts (Checking, Mortgage) and they work fine.

    @frank6 I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot, and I’m sorry to hear that Loft - Comenity Bank doesn’t support downloads with Quicken. I understand how important it is to have a seamless connection with financial institutions, and I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to the appropriate team.

    Regarding your Discover account, please note that Discover previously notified us that they no longer support Web Connect (manual/2-step QFX downloads). However, Express Web Connect (automatic downloads) is still supported. Could you provide more details on what’s happening with your Discover account? If you’re receiving an error, please share the exact message you’re seeing. While I don’t see any internal errors on our end, I’d be happy to look into it further.

    As for PNC, let us know what they say once you’ve spoken with them. If they’re unable to assist, we can explore what options might be available on our end.

    Thanks again for reaching out—I appreciate your time!
