Why does my Income Budget show the same figure as a minus figure under "everything elsee"

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

I know that a reply to this will say to check a miss calc in expenses. That is not the problem. I do not have a wrong entry in my Budget.

I have been using Quicken since the 1980's and have done Budgets for over 15 years. This is the 1st time this has happened.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks,

Tony

When you go into the Planning tab / Budgets view and select Manage Budget Categories / Select categories to budget, which of the above categories have you selected?
I suspect you have all categories selected.
There appears to have been a recent program change that's causing problems in that case.

To work around this issue and get correct numbers to display, please try this:
Select only categories at the lowest level (in the above case: Joann, Tony and VA Disab…)
Enable the option in Budget Actions / View options / Show parent category rollup.

This should eliminate showing the bad Everything Else … I hope … until the fix for the fix becomes available.

    UKR,

Thanks for the input. What I did was to uncheck in Income the Social Security & Disability boxes. Then renter the same info. Same results.

Then I again deleted all PLUS I did NOT check the Social Security box that I had before. I just checked the boxes for our names for Social Security. It now shows correctly and there is no "Everything Else" on the report.

    Thanks much,

    Tony
