PDF Attachments in Quicken - Mac OR Windows

Member ✭✭✭✭

Are these being discontinued. Slowly it seems, they stop downloading monthly and I prefer the pdf here to the billers site. I keep paper if not in Quicken.

So the lates is T-mobile. I have not seena pdf in either Windows or Mac since Dec 12/30. Anyone else?

Hulu?

Chase?

Citi?

Wells Fargo?

Adobe Creative Cloud?

I'm still getting a half dozen others so wondering if this is ALL going away, just certain billers deciding to stop or if I have a download issue.

I’ve been trying out eBills with some of my utility bills recently; some of them have statements and some don’t. I would assume it’s up to the biller whether they want to provide those.

I wouldn't assume, Jon. Some have had them for years and now not. They might have stopped and there might be an issue.

@Bob. You asked if PDF downloads was "ALL going away" — and the answer is no. Beyond that, you need to look into each biller issue individually, as some billers may have stopped providing PDFs and in some cases there may be a Quicken issue with retrieving them. There are no global answers, other than that Quicken is not dropping this functionality.

    Good to know.

And how or where does one check if there is a biller decision or Quicken issue?

It's the same as a connectivity issue. First, check this forum to see if others are reporting the problem you're encountering. Then contact the company to see if they have discontinued download of PDFs to third-party software… if you can get to a level of support that even knows what you're talking about. If you get someone who tells you nothing has changed on their end, then you can try Quicken Support… and hope you get a representative who will document the issue and create a support ticket. And then you wait, or rinse and repeat.

Or, log into your account on the comapny;s website, navigate you your bill, and download it. Optionally, attach it to a transaction in Quicken. Thirty seconds (in most cases), no hassle with non-comprehending support people, and you get on with life! 🤣

Thanks. I never go to my biller's web sites if I do not have to.

I never go to my biller's web sites if I do not have to.

That's what I was hoping to reduce as well. Out of 7 utility bills only 4 will connect to eBilling, and so far of those 4 only 1 has provided a statement via Quicken, so that's not doing much for me yet - we'll see what happens over the next month as more bills get issued. As for credit cards, those require Quicken Connect to set up as eBills and most of those I have on Direct Connect (and am not moving) so that leaves only 1 card on eBilling.

Its tough. I have my checking at a credit card at the same bank. Either I pay the bills with direct connect, or get the cc bill with Quicken Connect,. Cannot do both. And COULD once upon a time.

    Hello @Bob.,

When I check the list of billers you provided in your DM, only Adobe Creative Cloud shows that it should reliably support being able to see your statement in Quicken. I submitted a ticket to let the proper channels know that you are not receiving statements.

The way to check if it's a service problem or if the financial institution doesn't support it is to inquire on the Community or contact Quicken Support directly.

If you're referring to your Wells Fargo accounts (unable to have credit card on Express Web Connect+ and the checking on Direct Connect), the ticket for that issue is still open and in work. Unfortunately, no further updates are available at this time.

    I hope this helps!
