Bank password change not accepted by Quicken

My bank requires a periodic password change. I did this on the bank's website but now Quicken just keeps telling me my institution requires a password change and prompts me for the new passwords like I am supposed to change it in Quicken. I enter the new password in Quicken and it tells me it's the same as my "old" password and won't update my transactions. I am using Windows 11.

I'm not entirely sure that I understand what you're saying.
Are you saying that the PW recorded in Q, and at your bank, are the same …. but Q is telling you to change it? And, BTW, that "change it" message is originating at your bank. Q is merely passing it along.
SO, I think that you need to change it again at your bank, and then enter that change into Q.

Hello @LightofHope,
We appreciate you letting us know about this issue!
Before you perform any troubleshooting, please save a backup of your data file (just in case). Also, could you please provide the name of the financial institution you are experiencing this issue with?
If you have already changed your password on the bank's end, then to change it in Quicken, I suggest that you try to Deactivate and Reactivate the account(s) by following the steps found in this support article. Upon reactivating, you will be able to use your bank credentials and enter the new bank password.
Once your account(s) have been found, be sure to carefully link them to the existing account(s) you have already set up in Quicken.
Let us know how it goes!
