ETRADE Express WEB COnnect

ETRADE is only supporting Express Web Connect for my brokerage accounts. How do I change this?

I can no longer downlaod transactions from ETRADE, and ETRADE is claiming I need to switch to Express Web Connect. That doesn't work for me. DO any other users have solutions for this?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community with this problem. When I check, in Quicken, it still shows that you should be able to connect E*Trade by Direct Connect.
What is happening when you attempt to connect via Direct Connect? Do you see any error messages/codes? You mentioned that you already spoke to E*Trade about this issue. Did they have any reference or web page that supported their statement that they don't support Direct Connect anymore?

I have 6 ETrade accounts
When I get download, I get the OL-292-B error
When I reset the online connection I am only offered Express Web Connect

How long have you been seeing that OL-292 error? To clarify, is it able to successfully download, but showing you that error, or is it not downloading?
Instead of resetting the connection, try deactivating the accounts, then re-adding them. To do that, first, backup your Quicken file, then deactivate the problem accounts. Navigate to Tools>Add Account, search for E*Trade, and click the blue Advanced Options link.
Review the information screen, then proceed to the next screen and select Direct Connect.
Click next and follow the prompts. Once you get to the Add/Link screen, make sure to carefully connect your accounts to the correct nickname in Quicken.

I fully deactivated all 6 of my ETRADE accounts.
I then Added account Using ETrade
I was not presented with an option on how to connect.
When the download was complete, My connection was by Express Web Connect Again

Is it possible that ETRADE only supports Express Web Connect now?

Thanks for reaching back out.
You should be able to switch the connection method before inputting your login information by clicking the Advanced Options button (see screenshot).
Which instance are you attempting to connect to? Could you please provide a few screenshots showing the add account process that you are attempting?
If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments. Please remember to redact any personal information as needed.

This does not work for me. I am forced back to Express Web Connect

Make sure you are trying to add the account(s) via Tools > Add Account and NOT via Set Up Now on the Online Services tab of Account Details. Sometimes using Set Up Now will bypass Advanced Options and use the default (EWC) instead of the desired DC.
Also, after selecting Advanced Options there will be the following screen before you get to actually see the connection options pop up. Just click on "Continue" and the options pop up will be visible.
