please reopen "linked house and mortgage accounts not working"...

…which was a discussion that I started earlier this year, included several messages back & forth, the most recent being March 3.
Also, is there a more specific way to request that a previous discussion to be reopened, than the way I am doing it here, i.e. posting the request at large to everybody? This is the only way I can see to do it, but it feels kinda clunky. I've asked this "process" question in the past (for a different discussion - which somebody reopened, and which was then resolved) - but I never saw a direct answer to the actual process question itself.
(Lastly, I have a reply already typed for the "house & mortgage accounts" discussion (now saved in Word). My question here is: I could have sworn that when I started typing, it was in a window which had come up AS a reply option TO the discussion, which presumably was still open at that time (earlier this afternoon); but then when I was done typing and ready to send, the discussion was closed. The last post in the discussion had been exactly one month ago today; so I'm wondering if maybe the discussion was open when I first logged on, and closed WHILE I was typing my reply? Does anyone know if that's possible?)

Hello @enirevets,
Thank you for reaching out. Per your request, I re-opened "linked house and mortgage accounts not working":
To answer your question about the process to re-open discussions, posting on the Community and waiting for a moderator to handle the request is the correct process. There isn't an easier way to do it because posting to older threads may reduce the odds of your post being seen and responded to.
To answer your question about it being closed as you were responding, it is possible. Moderators close posts after they've been inactive for about a month, and there is no mechanism that lets us see that someone is typing a reply. So, if you happened to be typing your reply as we were closing inactive posts, then it's highly likely that it was closed before you finished drafting your post.
I hope this helps!

Thanks Kristina not only for re-opening the discussion, but also - ESPECIALLY - for taking the time to answer my additional two questions + the clarity therein. Thursday was a rough day for me - of which this tech stuff was just a small part - but your answers to even just a small part of the frustration I was feeling that day are greatly appreciated.🙂

@Quicken Kristina - Looks like I sent the previous post too soon! Still thank you for answering questions, but (after posting my above thank-you) I found that the original discussion is still closed. Guessing maybe you got into typing the other answers and forgot to actually reopen the original. (Kinda like that thing we've all done where we say in an email "I am attaching…" and then forget to actually attach anything.)🙃 So… please reopen the original "linked house & mortgage accounts not working".
Thanks in advance.
