Dominion Online Bill forcing reauthentication

Every time I refresh my online bills, whether as a part of my general daily update or for a specific bill, my Dominion online biller goes into an unauthenticated state and requires me to "Fix Now" or reauthenticate. I think it has to do with the 2-factor authentication but I would like to know why Quicken can't maintain that authentication if the Dominion website and app are able to maintain it? Also, even when authenticated, the online biller doesn't seem to download the pdf bills anymore nor does it actually update when a new bill is available. I like being able to pay bills through Quicken as it gives me more control but more and more often my biller accounts seem to work better outside of Quicken, which is a shame. If Quicken wants to continue to be our financial center, they need to do the investment necessary to be useful in all of the financial roles and needs we have.

Hello @Sisyphus1967,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
I went ahead and checked the internal status of the Dominion Online Biller, and unfortunately, it shows a degraded status. This is likely why you're experiencing repeated authentication prompts and missing PDF downloads. We do not have an estimated time of resolution for this degraded status.
In the meantime, you might consider setting up manual bill reminders for this biller to ensure timely payments. Additionally, you can attempt to Review and Repair Online Billers:
- Save a backup of your data file.
- Navigate to the Bills & Income tab.
- Click on the gear icon at the top-right.
- Select Review and Repair > Review and Repair Online Billers.
Please note that this may not resolve the issue if the degraded status persists.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue.

Thank you, Jasmine. I tried the Repair feature but it is not a permanent fix. There is something going on with Dominion and I hope the status gets fixed soon. One of the reasons I have stuck with Quicken for so long is the online integrations and it seems that recently more and more of those are degrading or dropping away entirely. The entire BillPay section is nearly useless now as most of my formerly online bill payments no longer work and I either have to pay them directly with the provider or use CheckPay. I hope Quicken has plans to address this.

Will this issue move over to the Alerts thread at some point or will it only be tracked here?

Thank you for your reply,
Typically, we don't have Community Alerts for online billers. You are able to post to this discussion, or if this discussion is closed, start a new discussion to inquire about the status of the biller.
We are working to address the issues with Online Bills. See this alert for more details:
I hope this helps!
