Multiple users & Quicken?

My wife and I are considering Qucken Classic Business & Personal for Mac to help us manage our rental properties. But as I understand it, Quicken loads an individual copy of its data file on each computer (Macs in our case) and has no way of synchronizing them properly. So, I'm wondering if we can use the mobile app, so that I can use the off-line file (downloading it & uploading it) and she can use the cloud version. (I'm the techie, she's not). Alternatively, we might use Git, but I doubt she'd want to bother with Git's complexities.
What do you suggest?

Hello @Swampy,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your question. Your understanding is mostly correct. Quicken Classic is based on the desktop application and the file stored on your local hard drive. It is not designed for use in a network environment, and trying to sync one Quicken file across multiple computers is not recommended. See this article for more information:
However, you are able to use the Quicken Cloud to make some of the information in your Quicken file available to view and edit through the Quicken Companion Apps (Quicken on the Web and Quicken Mobile).
It is important to note that the companion apps do not support all the features that are available in the desktop version of Quicken. To see what features are supported by the companion apps, please review the articles below:
Through Quicken on the Web and Quicken Mobile, you are able to share access to your Quicken Cloud account (associated with your desktop file) with one other person. Sharing access does give the person the ability to view and change the data in that cloud account.
I hope this helps!

Another option, if one of you can use Quicken at a time the other is not at their computer, you could simply Mac's built in ability to use screen sharing to the computer which has Quicken. That obviously dopesn;t work if you both need to use it at the same time.
I'll just add a note to be careful, and possibly wary, using Quicken Cloud for one of you to enter data and sync it to the desktop file. While it's designed to do this, there are persistent reports of users having data problems — previously entered transactions disappearing, or edits being lost — which seem to be rooted in syncing problems. There are many of us who won't enable syncing to Quicken Cloud in order to protect the integrity of our Quicken data, even though cloud syncing would be potentially useful.
