I want to get my information off the cloud. If I delete my dataset in the cloud, will that delete my file from quicken?

    Hello @1930,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Currently, the latest release available for Quicken for Windows is R63.21. Could you please navigate to Help > Check for Updates and let us know which version appears?

To clarify, deleting your Quicken Cloud dataset will not delete your local data file, which is saved on your computer. The .QDF file you use in Quicken for Windows remains fully intact.

The Quicken Cloud dataset is only used for things like

    • Syncing with the Quicken Mobile or Web apps
    • Certain online services or account updates
    • Optional cloud-based features

So if your goal is to remove your data from the cloud but keep using Quicken locally, you're good. Just make sure you have a current backup of your file (File > Backup or Copy File > Create a complete backup) before making any changes, just in case.

Let me know if you’d like help walking through the steps to turn off sync or delete the dataset. I’m happy to guide you!
