Web & Mobile companion apps for Quicken Premier for Mac

I want to transfer responsibility for our financial management to my wife. I would be moving our books from QuickBooks to Quicken Premier for Mac. I expect I would need to install it on my Mac mini desktop.

Would my wife be able to download credit card transactions, sync and balance bank accounts, view and pay bills using the Web or Mobile app, and sync it all with the desktop software? How would that work?

The mobile/web App doesn't have any bill paying features. That would have to happen on the Desktop. The mobile/web apps do allow for downloading of transactions/viewing and reconciling (but the reconciling has more features on the Desktop version). And yes, that can be synced with the Desktop data file.

Thank you for your response. Following up on the last question, can you say more about what makes the mobile/web apps valuable in day to day use? I'm particularly interested in how (or if) they are helpful when you're traveling, and don't have access to your desktop computer. Thank you.

To answer your question, the primary benefit of the mobile app and Quicken on the Web is the ability to view and update your Quicken even when you are not near the computer where your Quicken file is stored. For more information, I recommend reviewing this article on the Quicken Cloud:
