Merrill Lynch Transaction Download Missing Some Details - Security, Description, Share Balance

Longtime and experienced Quicken Classic Mac user … updated all accounts on Tuesday July 22 to receive transactions as of day prior, including Merrill Lynch activity transactions. July 21 data (I download daily), downloads 86 transactions - e.g., Buy/Sell - missing security, description, and share balance column details. Other details, such as invest amt and Balance do appear. Impossible to update manually due to txn volume and reconciliation with ML online activity. How to recover the transaction details without manual reconciliation? Does this have anything to do with recent change to Quicken/ML direct connect?

    The issue you’re experiencing matches a known issue currently affecting Bank of America/Merrill Lynch Investments. Specifically, transactions are downloading incompletely or missing key details, though balances remain unaffected.

    Update: The download issues, due to connection type change, continue and are compounding with each daily download. Many transaction types, such as "sales", "buys", "dividend reinvestment" are missing key details or all together wrong transaction type. This is incredibly frustrating and impossible to reconcile against golden data from Merrill Lynch website.

    Quicken tech support, please escalate a fix and improve QA before moving changes into production.

    @asteinberg001 This site is not Quicken tech support, and they won't read your posts here. But one of the Quicken moderators has stated above that this is a known issue that is being worked on. (Also, while they will likely never share details, I'd put money on this being a problem at the Merrill Lynch end with what they are sending to Quicken, not to to something the Quicken developers screwed up.)

    I had what looks like the same issue and you can go here to see how I fixed it. I haven't tested it with new downloads, but now everything trues up. If you have a managed account, then you have a lot of transaction volume, but luckily, some with be multiple transactions of the same equity.

    I am having this problem with missing security symbol in some downloaded transactions.

    Well, as far as I know, it is not resolved.

    The missing security symbol in downloaded transactions from Merrill Lynch has been happening every day for the past 2-3 weeks.

    I have to logon to the ML website and look at activity to find which security is applicable. This is an inconvenience.

    It seems to happen only Dividend Income transactions.

    I talked to Merrill Lynch support, this morning and they see all of the transaction data, nothing is missing.

    As a paying subscriber of Quicken, I expect this to be fixed.

    @Thomas Goodhart I understand how frustrating it is to have to manually verify transactions. Since the Community Alert was marked resolved and archived, the issue would need to be investigated as a new, separate case.

    Because this involves data coming from Merrill Lynch that isn’t displaying correctly in Quicken, our Support team will need to gather logs, review the connection in detail, and escalate it to the proper channels if needed.
