Using Quicken Home & Business 2014, downgrading to Deluxe or other, and subscription detail
I currently use Quicken Home & Business 2014 and it has everything I need. In fact the only business feature that I use is to generate invoices and associate a deposit with the invoice. I would consider downgrading to deluxe or whatever.
I am not interested in paying every month. If they still offered a version that I could pay for once I'd do that. Since that's not an option, what exactly happens if I subscribe to H&B or Deluxe, have it import my H&B data version 2014, and at some point no longer subscribe? I've read different things about this, some say you can update some say you can't, or that a lot of the quicken screen is taken up by messages to resubscribe.
I don't need downloads from the web, do it all manually.
I've just moved to a new pc and am having a hard time finding the 2014 cd, otherwise I would have just install it.

Hello @spacehorse,
Thank you for coming to the Community with this question. If you pay for the subscription version of Quicken, and then decide not to renew your subscription (make sure auto-renew is turned off), you would have the Data Access Guarantee, and would still be able to access and manually update your Quicken file. However, you would have subscription reminder messages/banners that take up space on your screen. For more information on the Data Access Guarantee, and to see sample images of the subscription reminders, please see this article:
For more details on what features you'll have access to after your subscription expires, please see the "What happens when my Quicken membership expires" section of this article:
I hope this helps!

@spacehorse emphasizing what @Quicken Kristina told you, that "subscription reminder message" (usually referred to as the "nag screen") takes up about 30% of your screen.
And, the "subscription" isn't a "pay every month" item, even though it's stated at a monthly rate. It's an annual payment.

OK thanks NotACPA, 30% is something to avoid.
