I wanted to leave a comment under Janean's list of issues with Fidelity. As i do not really see an issue that describes what happens to me. I get a duplicate of all my securities and their value is added to my Quicken account. My portfolio value doubles.
This ticket may cover the issue? But if not please add it to the list.

Just to add: I have disconnected my Fidelity and Netbenefit Accounts and am waiting for all the problems with Fidelity and Quicken to be repaired.
This was not given as an option in Janean's list??? Will my needing to update over a month of activity in these accounts create more problems?

Hello @Sammy,
Thank you for reaching out! To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. Is this problem with securities duplicating happening in Quicken for Mac or Quicken for Windows? Did it happen just one time, or is it a recurring issue?
If the issue is happening in Quicken for Mac, then merging the duplicate securities with the original security will usually resolve the issue. For information on merging securities, please see this help article:

I look forward to your response!

Hi Kristina,
I am working on Quicken for the Mac. Followed the instructions for updating the Fidelity Accounts. The links were correct. But then after it was done, my wealth had doubled. Instead of $100000 in my Account, i now had $20000. When i looked into the accounts i saw that all my fund stock holdings were duplicated.
My next step was to close down Quicken and open a backup. I am now waiting for the 'Fix" as i suspect that my problem was caused by the problems that Quicken is having with Fidelity.
Thanks for your response.

Thank you for your response,
The most likely cause of the duplicating securities is that the data is formatted differently for the different connection type, which can result in securities that are already in your Quicken looking just different enough that the program thinks they're new. If the issue happens again when you connect/reconnect your Fidelity accounts, merging the duplicate securities with the original ones should resolve the issue.
Thank you!

Hi Kristina,
I am waiting for the problem with the Fidelity Connection to be fixed by Quicken and Fidelity. Why are you telling me to try again? My understanding is that there is a problem with the connection software??
Am I reading this post incorrectly?

Thank you for your reply,
The Direct Connect connection with Fidelity is being phased out. That alert was created because some people who were still on Direct Connect were getting error messages, but not being prompted to migrate to Express Web Connect+.
You should be able to connect your Fidelity accounts via Express Web Connect+.
Thank you!
