Getting same CC-501 errors with Fidelity and JPMorgan Chase

I also have been getting connection issues but with Citi Cards for a what it seems at least a week if not longer. I have had the error message pop up but during the one step, my transactions are downloading but the message still appears. I am tired of receiving the message in One Step Update! What is going on?

I am running Quicken Classic Premier Version R64.35, Build 27.1.64.35 under Windows 11

I am also getting this error with my JPMorgan brokerage, banking and credit card accounts. Also with my Discover card account.

Think maybe the CC501 Error and One Step Update hanging are two different problems. For CC501 errors , have you tried resetting the account in Online Services from the account list on the specific account ?

Connection issues with Citi are not new. My report is of a broader nature, but perhaps short-lived.

I think my complaint here: (New connection issues — Quicken) is a duplicate of this one.

My Merrill Lynch update this morning also resulted in a CC-501 error. Does the "wait 48 hours" rule count weekends or only business days? Is there a published solution to that error? For what it's worth, the Merrill Edge updates did not error out.

I will add to the chorus. Very long OSU times. Fidelity seems to be causing the issue (tried updating Fidelity on its own, and took a very long time…and I had to reset the accounts to make it happen).

I got the cc-501 error this morning when downloading Fidelity transactions. Second time I tried, I got the error but it downloaded old transactions again (I am now on the new way of downloading with Fidelity). Hope this gets fixed soon!

Same problem this morning (11/1). Seems to have started about 10/30. Re-authorizing Fidelity accounts only does the 1 account, the other two are not available to add (accounts 4 and 5, which are not in this date set of Quicken, but are in others, seem available to add no problem). Very delayed responses from Fidelity handshake when I am "activating one step update" in Quicken trying to re-authorize these accounts.

Likewise. Quicken is stalling during OSU due to Fidelity. After 5 minutes, OSU completed with CC-501 errors for Fidelity.

Did a Fidelity account reset, which is currently stuck on "Updating your Accounts" for the last 7 minutes. Finally, the "Updating your Accounts" completed.

Did an "Update Transactions" of only the Fidelity accounts. Stuck on "Processing data…" for 5 minutes. The update finally completed with a CC-501 error but transactions downloaded. However the "Last download" time stamp for each Fidelity account did not change from the previous day's download. Really buggy.

Did an "Update Transactions" of Fidelity only - again. After waiting about 1 minute on "Completed" screen, more transactions downloaded to different Fidelity accounts than the prior update and the "Last download" time stamp updated to current date time on all the Fidelity accounts.

All these Quicken problems with Fidelity during month end transactions.

Is this being addressed at Quicken? Obviously a system issue. What is being done to resolve? and most importantly WHEN WILL IT BE RESOLVED?

I'm having the same error, but today, 11/1, even though I got the error, Transactions still came through. It doesn't look right though. Nothing is showing as a reinvestment transaction and a couple of EFTs are showing up twice. Once as a dividend and once as a long-term capital gain for the same amount. When I looked at the accounts through CS website, there are adjustments which are not reflected for the duplicate transactions.

If I delete these transactions, will the correct info come through when everything is fixed? Or, will I need to manually enter them later?

Just adding. Mine failed early yesterday (posted yesterday). Waited a few hours, tried again and Fid updated. Ran OSU this morning and failed again. This time stepped through resetting. No joy. Took a long time to complete, nothing updated. Run OSU and Fid still fails.

    <sigh>

I fixed this issue yesterday, October 31st, only for it to return today.

I had no timing issues with my end of month download this morning at 7:53am EST. The download took less than 2 minutes. Includes non Fidelity (15) accounts However, my Fidelity CMA and Brokerages MM (SPAXX) dividends updated incorrectly. I changed both transactions from Div to Divx. All IRA accounts transactions successfully updated.

Again this AM, similar to 10/31 AM, OSU is extremely slow and eventually shows 501 Errors and does not download for several accounts. Schwab and Fidelity are not downloading. Windows Quicken Classic Premier.

Thanks the animation unchecking solved the problem with the downloads through Fidelity and Merrill Lynch being hung up. Now I’m getting: the dreaded we are unable to update this account due to an unknown error statement. Hope they can fix this.

For the first time this morning, one step update was extremely slow and finished with 501 errors on my Schwab and Fidelity accounts. I tried re-initializing one of the fidelity accounts, went through it but it did not solve the problem. Quicken, please advise, I am growing very frustrated with all the issues of the past few weeks!

jt133d is correct. Turning off animations is only a one day fix. The problem has returned again today but animations are still off so that must have been a coincidence. I would echo the sentiments of beachmar. Quicken needs to get this fixed and soon!
