Using Quicken under up-to-date Windows 11 updates always worked but Nov 3rd, 2025 update from Toronto suddenly doesn't show new prices but shows the update time and "for each security" shows volume updates for Nov 3rd but for prices it shows the Oct 31st price under date of Nov 3rd. However, updates from Mutual Funds worked correctly as before.
Have done the copy and validate file step - no problems other than an incorrect category on a Charge Card Account which was deleted and C/C account fixed stating no action by me required.. Under Security it stated:
- One stock split might be missing - date was 2 days after date I used when I started adding securities with the split price so not a problem.
- Maximum security reference: 42, number of securities: 40
- Analysing securities: All security references are within the normal range
Checked the internet connection all o.k. (Also note that Volume for Toronto is updated as are Mutual funds suggesting not an internet problem.)
Also subsequently updated Quicken to latest version but no fix to this problem.
Also note: Last Win update (a major one) was on Oct 28, 2025 but subsequent Quicken updates up to Oct 31st worked o.k., so I rule out that Win update
It's certainly puzzling that the Volume info is updated for Nov 3rd, 2025 (correctly as I checked) but not the prices (but shown under date of Nov 3rd for each Toronto listed stock with the Oct. 31st price) and Price Info for Mutual funds still worked as before.
Any Canadian with stocks on the Toronto exchange with this sudden problem?
Any suggestion other than manually updating prices which would be cumbersome and negates using Quicken for Securities.
To me it almost sounds like a change at the Toronto Stock exchange without a corresponding change by Quicken or a corruption of my Quicken App re updates. But not found/fixed by the "copy and validate file" step. But why would my Quicken App suddenly be corrupted? (This under my last Quicken version as well as the subsequent update I did today after the problem had surfaced (which as stated did not fix it).
