I work with a non-profit and would like to get an online Quicken product to track our spending and donations. Right now we use Quicken 2004 Deluxe, but would like to move to online so we don't need to share a laptop. Which product would best fit the following:

Track spending and donations

Year end reports

Print 3-section checks

Transfer info from laptop to online version

Have receipts available

Thank you

The Quicken Online products are NOT standalone … they're adjuncts to the desktop products. The online products require a desktop product also.

Otherwise, any Q Windows product will satisfy your stated needs.

If by "receipts" you're referring to receipts for donations, then I'd think you'd need the Business version that does have "Sales Receipts." You probably could cobble together a saved "report" that could serve the same function in other versions, (as you might even be doing now) but you'd most likely have to enter information individually for each receipt.

All versions are pretty similar to what you're seeing in the 2004 version insofar as expenses, donations, year end reports, and 3 section checks.

You'd need to go through a process of upgrading to the current subscription version as explained here:

    It's not all that difficult.

There are the Simplifi and Online Business and personal products. This isn't the forum for them though (and I don't know if they would work for this):

But note you would have to start from scratch since those products can't import a Quicken Classic Desktop data file. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't allow printing of checks, but as I said I don't know much about the product.
