Column widths in reports malfunctioning in Quicken R61.17

I first reported this problem in February 2025 with Quicken R61.17!

It's now 2026 running R65.29 and I cannot believe i have to spend an inordinate amount of time to manually widen each report column so that none of the data in that column. The reports should automatically truncate the column to the width of the longest value in that report column. A report should never display a truncated column value as 'column val…'. The column value should always contain the full untruncated value as 'column value'.

Even when you go from left to right adjusting each column, the report still truncates the end of some of the long columns even though it appears fine when viewing in the online report before printing. Scaling the report width also affects the column width when printing the report.

This occurs on a Saved report. Below is a screen shot of my Saved report.

Your report appears to be a customized version of the Banking Transaction Report.

With a newly created version of that report, you can auto-size a column width by hovering the mouse over the bar to the right of the header so that the left/right arrow is displayed and double-clicking. For me, the column widths are saved if I save the report.

    Do you see the same?

I agree it is annoying that the column widths do not seem to map directly to the widths when printing.
