Reports do not include stock donations to charity

I created a report for all transactions in 2025 sorted by category. However, the report excludes stocks that were donated to charity. While the register records the transaction as "remove shares" it does not appear on the category report, and I am unable to designate that it went to charity so that it would appear in the correct category on the itemized by category report. Since donating stocks to charity have substantial tax benefits, this needs to be corrected so it is reflected in our tax returns.

In order for the donation to appear, try this.

Take a backup, just in case
    Delete that existing Remove Shares
Enter a new Remove Shares using the original Cost basis as the Value
Enter a new ADD Shares using the value of the shares at the time of the donation
Sell the shares at the donation value (because of prior step, there's no CapGains)
Record the donation of the Cash from the sale.

Yes, you actually donated securities, not cash, but until Q can recognize a stock donation, this works.
