UPDATED 3/20/26 “User Not Eligible” – Bank of America
We are currently seeing reports of customers receiving a “User Not Eligible” error when attempting to connect or reauthorize their Bank of America accounts in Quicken.
This error most commonly occurs when the Bank of America account is accessible by multiple members (such as joint accounts), and the person attempting to connect in Quicken is not the primary account holder on the Bank of America online banking profile.
Bank of America may restrict third-party authorization to the primary account holder, which can prevent successful connection.
What You May See
For Quicken Mac:
- After completing the authorization process, you may see the error:
“User Not Eligible.”
For Quicken Windows:
- You may see the message:
“Sign in to Bank of America failed. Try again.”
