Please save images to files of file type PNG or JPG only.
And confirm the version and release of Quicken you are using: R xx.xx as shown in Help / About Quicken
@tsibley In your checking account, click the GEAR icon to the upper right of the register, click "Register Columns" and make sure that those columns are checked for inclusion in the display.
And, CTRL-N isn't normally needed. There should be a blank line, available for data entry, at the bottom of your register.
