but why this issues happens i want to know for the knowledge @Quicken Kristina @Quicken Anja
Have you read the Support article that was highlighted? Have you contacted Q Support?
@NotACPA the linked article is pretty sparse on details. It does not help a user understand what caused the error or how to avoid the error in the future.
@Martinn the exceeded maximum datasets error was a big problem back in mid 2022. I believe some fixes were done to alleviate the problem. We do not see the issue reported much anymore.
The main cause of the issue is restoring too many backups. For example, if you routinely backup and restore to work on a file on two different computers, each restore you enter data in creates a new dataset. You can copy your file from computer to computer without backup/restore. That would help to avoid the issue going forward.
Try turning wifi off before opening Quicken.

… as long as you only work on one copy at a time. If you modify both copies, there is no way to merge the changes.
Hello All,
Thank you all for following up and chiming in!
This message is received when attempting to sync to mobile/web or create a new data file. These errors can occur when a user reaches their dataset limit or tries opening a new file without an active subscription.
Without an active subscription, you cannot open new data files. For those with active subscriptions, the current limit is 100 datasets, and no more than 50 in one month. In most cases, there are overrides and troubleshooting options available if you reach out to our Support Team.
Hope this helps!
