Retail Purchase Categorization enhancement request

First, I love the new feature! HOWEVER, my wife and I both have Amazon accounts, and per Technical Support, "…at this time, Retail Purchase Categorization supports only one Amazon account per Quicken data file."

I'd like the ability to connect more than one Amazon account into this feature as my wife buys more on Amazon than I do! 😁

Alternatively, if I she can connect via Quicken Web and categorize that way instead of the desktop software, that'd be convenient too.

My Amazon shopping is infrequent and just a few items so I actually prefer to manually categorize. I rather see Quicken to add support for more browsers as they have been suggested in other idea posts. But this is a reasonable request, so I voted up - now 3.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! There is some support for multiple Amazon accounts. According to our help article:

Does this work with multiple Amazon accounts?

Yes. The extension retrieves orders from whichever Amazon account is currently signed in to your browser. If you have multiple Amazon accounts, you can switch between them in your browser.

This is my understanding of this feature too, but I have to wonder if this is actually correct.

I'm guessing that @Roger Snook and his wife are on different machines or at least different Windows accounts, and as such their web browser logins should be completely separate.

If my guess is right and they can't log into different Amazon accounts and make it work, then it seems to me that there might be an additional restriction if they are both using the same data file (maybe copying it between the two computers).

@Roger Snook can you please specify exactly how you and wife are using Quicken as far as the same machine, same Windows account, same Quicken Desktop datafile?

I noticed the same issue as soon as I read about the new feature. My wife and I also have separate Amazon accounts, but I'm the only one who uses Quicken. I can easily classify my own purchases, but hers simply show up as "Amazon" and I have to periodically ask her to resolve the unknown categories if she hasn't forwarded the Amazon email to me yet. Would be great if we could connect both of our accounts and have Quicken do its thing to resolve who made each purchase and for what.

I've spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to do this. There really isn't an easy way to switch Amazon Accounts. The only way to get it to work with a second account is to unlink the primary account in quicken and the chrome extension and Add the 2nd account , relinking everything. I have tried just switching the login for my acct vs my wifes' and that does NOT work. There needs to be an easier way to just llink both acccounts and grab both sets of amazon transactions and match them against the quicken register. I am preparing a list of challenges I have been having with this functionality. below is a few

================================ Personally, i think this is a great feature but it is hit or miss when trying to match transactions. The bank downloads for my Amazon charge card will sometimes have different dates and that throws off the matching. Also the actual dollar amounts for the downloaded transactions sometimes does not match what the transaction(s) look like in the chrome extension. Sometimes this is because Amazon split up the transaction so there are TWO instead of one but only one charge. It also is missing some transactions in the extension. When I downloaded history to set up the original extension data. I only got 14 transactions between 4/22/2026 and 7/7/26 but my charge register has over 30 (a few of them are from my wifes amazon but not 16 of them)
