Add a new column to the Security List [Edited]

My request is for the Windows version, as I am using the classic Windows Deluxe version.
On the Securities List (Menu → Tools → Security List), add a new column where you can quickly view or update the default "Qualified Dividend" status of a security.

Here is my mock-up of how I envision the change. The new column is "Qualified Div".

Best way to officially get this suggestion to the right hands? Thanks.

P.S. None of the available categories really fit this question, IMO. So hopefully the category choice does not prevent this question from being posted.

You do it creating your post in the appropriate Product Ideas category.

@butchcoleslaw the easiest way to get there is from the Community Homepage. In the Featured Categories section, click on "Product Ideas" and then keep drilling down the categories until you reach the discussion section of the category that most fits your idea. There should be a "New Idea" button that you can click into to submit your new idea or product enhancement.

I'm not sure how this can be be practical for a MF or an ETF. Each can distribute both qualified and unqualified dividends, sometimes even at the same time. How would those be managed….especially since most people would never know anything about what that mix might be until after the distributions have occurred?

The Qualified Dividend field for a security is already there in the database. This is just a different way to access that information. Just exposing already existing information in a different form.

@Boatnmaniac you bring up a very good point which exposes a fundamenal flaw in how Quicken has decided to code this Qualified flag. Even for stocks as wells as MFs and ETFs, a person can have two separate positions of a security in two different accounts, where one is qualified, but the other is not. There is no way to accomodate this with flag being applied at the security level.
