How can I change an account that is set up as an asset to an investment account?

How can I change an account that is set up as an asset to an investment account? In settings it doesn’t offer investment. If the solution is to open a new account how do I transfer all the transactions at once?

Unfortunately, you have no choice but to create an investment account et rewrite your transactions correctly.

ChantalH: Did you try going to the "Account Details" screen of the asset account, clicking on the "Display Options" tab and selecting "Investment" from the drop-down menu under "Account Intent"?
