Problem re-installing Quicken on Win10

My old laptop is running windows xp and quicken subscription. I performed a backup from my old laptop and wanted to start using quicken on my new laptop which is running windows 10 pro. I downloaded the quicken program from the quicken site, installed on my new laptop and prompted to restore from backup. Quicken launches then prompts for my quicken id and pw 2 times, which I enter correctly, then it takes me to the download screen to download quicken (which is already installed). I can never open quicken on my new laptop and get it to open/run. Help please:).

If you haven't already, try rebooting. Then launch Q as usual. You should hopefully be prompted for your file or restore.

You aren't running subscription Quicken (2018+) are you?

This is impossible. Since about Quicken 2014, Quicken will not install on Windows XP.
Using Quicken Subscription Premier (and have a copy of Starter to test things on)0 -

On my new laptop I am on the latest Quicken subscription 2020; R25.10.
I launch and then program keeps looping asking me for my quicken id and password. I never can actually get to quicken to see my accounts etc0 -

Did you download from your Quicken User ID and password after logging in?
Trying to understand, since originally posted that you were running Windows XP and Quicken Subscription.

On my new laptop windows 10 pro I did log into quicken.com and downloaded the program from that site.0 -
I followed your instructions (thank you) in your prior post and the same loop keeps happening. I can get the program to run on my old laptop just fine. I just am having issues with the program (and QB as well) on my new laptop.0

Where did you restore the Quicken Data File, to? Why do I ask this? Because I have seen when you go to Restore a Data File, it sometimes defaults to the exact location, where the Backup is located at. I was able to catch it, but some Users don't know that this occurs.
So where is the location? Ex: G:\My Documents\Quicken Win 10-Work

Obtained using File > Show this file on my computer.
