You are correct in that these calculations are not at all accurate.I maintain separate Excel sheets to reflect my real returns

Please provide version of Quicken being used: select Help > About Quicken

If you're using Quicken 2017, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/quicken-discontinuation-policy

The Price Day Change would need a price change from the previous day in a security's price history.

The Return YTD requires the security is held on December 31 of the prior year.

Sherlock, tks...I'm using Quicken DeLuxe 2020\, verion R26.17, build 27.1.26.17.
And, obviously when I said that does not calculate % is because prior day, and current day prices are there. The same happens with return YTD the numbers are there, but the actual difference between the valuations are not there.

Please provide the exact names of the columns in the Investing > Portfolio views that are not correct. Is the data zero, incorrect, or blank? Also please provide examples of the securities affected.

Some of the data is downloaded from Quicken's quote provider and is sometimes missing or out of date. See this discussion
    https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7863323/stock-return-ytd-1-yr-etc-inaccurate#latest

Also in some cases the Price Day change column is blank. If this is the case, try changing the As of data to the previous day and then back again. See this discussion

Please let us know your details and if either of these situations applies to you.
