Download file not usable

Options
I have downloaded the Windows file. It is ‘Quicken-Canada.uk’ . Windows states it cannot open this file. Should I rename it to ‘.exe’ or what should I do with it?

There should be no reason to rename a file if downloaded from an authentic Quicken site. I would suggest following this link to get the correct Canadian version.

"Quicken-Canada.uk" is neither an executable file, nor a Q data file, which is why Q can't open it (and I suspect that Window's can't use it either).
And, where did you obtain this file ... since Q hasn't been sold in the United Kingdom for quite a few years.  What URL did you download it from.

Would you care to name that AV product ... so that we can be on the lookout for similar incidents in the future?
