How do I exclude specific transactions from my spending and budget?

in Reports (Windows)
I recently had to quickly move from one state to another and accrued a ton of fees such as lease breaking, movers, transport, etc. How do I exclude these expenses from my budget and how do I make sure the reports don't include them?

    is to assign a Tag such as "Exclude" to the transactions you wan to ignore and customize the report to exclude that tag.

    I didn't find where to exclude certain tags but there does seem to be a way to exclude certain memos. Am I missing something?

    Note that using tags won't work for the budget views (works fine for the reports), because the budget views are by category/account, there isn't anything for tags.

    I notice in another thread that you mentioned that you just switched from Starter to Deluxe.  The Starter version doesn't "fully" support tags, you need the Deluxe edition or above to see the above tab.

    Telling what is in the Starter edition is quite hard since none of us use it except in rare testing.  It use to be that tags were hidden completely in Starter edition, but it seems in the last few years some of the functionality "leaked in" to like the register, but not completely like it being still left out of the reports.
