What is best option for purging old data. My file is getting too large. Should I just start a new file.

    Please follow the steps below in order to shrink your data file.
    1. Navigate to the File menu
    2. Select File Operations
    3. Copy...
    4. Enter the desired date range you wish to move forward with and click OK
    5. Wait for the copy procedure to complete
    6. Select New Copy and click OK

    Yes, with no attachments, that is on the big size.
    I just hate to see someone remove history from their current file since you will now have to look in two files to find something and keep both files readable by Quicken, so be sure to open the older file every once in awhile to keep it fresh.
    You will also want to go into it immediately and delete all of the reminders so that when you do open the file in the future, they won't fire off and pollute your file with "new" transactions.
