Investing Transaction drops security name - Quicken window CANADA

Lately, I am having a strange issue

Please refer to the attached images

Q1- I entered the security name and amount $ 2.86. Then I save the transaction

Q2 - security field is blank in the register

Q3 - i edit the transaction and it shows blank security name

What is wrong

Any help will be most welcomed

Well I note also in your Q3 pic, the date has dropped the year.

Perhaps you need to try a more conventional date -- MM/DD/YYYY (US) or DD/MM/YYYY (more common int'l).

Just see if any such change has an impact.

For what it is worth I couldn't reproduce this problem in Quicken Windows US, even with the date format of yyyy/MM/dd.

I'm going to suggest that you might have a corrupted Q data file. Have you tried validating your file?

- every month i validate, super validate, and make a new copy of the data file -

You appear to have strange and unusually long security names.

Do you see this issue with all securities or just some of them?

If you create a security with a simple name like XYZ Inc and enter a test transaction for that security does it work OK?

This problem started recently ( 2-4 months)

The size of the security name has no effect - Quicken controls size. I have short and long security names. These securities i have had for a long time
