Quicken for Mac v12.3.1 (desktop). I get Quicken Cloud errors every few days, have reset Quicken Cloud more than once, and now get intermittent cases of the account balance not matching the balance in the register. Any idea what is going on and/or how to check for a corrupted Quicken file?

You said QMac v 12.3.1, but that's the version of macOS. What version of QMac are you using?
Please post screenshot(s) of the error message you are getting and which Financial Institutions this occurs with.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s0 -

More specific details on those "cloud errors" would be helpful.
Otherwise I'd recommend you turn off Sync to Cloud or at least Reset Sync and see if that makes the hole deeper improves the situation.

Thanks. I have reset my cloud account (what a pain!) but it didn't help.0

Do you use the Mobile app on your smartphone or the Quicken on the Web feature?
If you answer "no" turn Sync off completely. You don't need it. The Sync process should only be used in conjunction with the Quicken app for Smartphones or the Quicken on the Web browser app. It cannot be used as a replacement for backing up and restoring your Quicken data file.
